LOVE this website

I LOVE this website:  www.pinterest.com

The Mission of this site is "to connect everyone in the world through the 'things' they find interesting. We think that a favorite book, toy, or recipe can reveal a common link between two people. With millions of new pins added every week, Pinterest is connecting people all over the world based on shared tastes and interests."

Okay - I know this website has been around for a while and my friends at work told me about it some time ago, but I never really got the chance to really look at it.  I did today and I can't even begin to explain how this website makes me feel - but I'll try...
  • Excited
  • Inspired
  • Love, Love, LOVE
  • Happy
  • Eager to try
  • Giggly (is that a word? and if not, substitute it with the work Giddy)
  • Joyful
  • Amazed and in Awe of how amazing people are
  • that simple, everyday things are special
  • Grateful - to my friends for telling me about this site and,
  • Thankful - for those freely and creatively sharing their beautiful and wonderful ideas with everyone
Hope you love it as much as I do.

Crafts bring joy

Every once in a while, I have this desperate desire to do a craft.  It usually has something to do with putting together pictures and words to create a story or personal message and when I'm done, I feel joy, exhilaration and peace.  Somehow, I need to incorporate crafts into my daily life, but for now, I'm inspired by others who have.

I came upon this blog when I was googling the title of this post.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

My Joys

Within the last month, both my kids celebrated birthdays.  One is now 14 and the other just turned 10.  How has time flown by so quickly?  I can still remember the day I had them both so clearly.  The feelings of wonderment and joy when I saw them for the first time.  The celebration of every skill gained, milestone reached, success achieved and lesson learned.

Today, I wish My Joys - enough joy.love.laughter to last a lifetime and beyond.

Luff.

Loving Love

I'm known for it - I love Love.  Recently, I learned that I'm not alone and that that Nelson Mandela was also known for his love of love.  I'm in good company and realize that there are probably thousands for peopl out there who feel the same.

There's nothing more inspiring then to see two people fall in love or a child's love for their parent and vice versa.  There's the love grandparents have for their grandkids, or people have for their pets.  People loving what they do, and those loving them for it.  It's energy that's uplifts me and inspires me to remember those I love and reminds me to both show and tell them that everyday.

For this holiday season and for the upcoming new year, my wish for you is that you are loved, share love and begin to love love.

joy.lo.la always,
Sherry

Class Notes - Facing Life's Challenges with Love

Amazing.  Speechless.  Life-changing.

The class, led by Jane Durst-Pulkys, featured an amazing woman (and Jane's best friend), Teresa Caran.  Teresa shared her life story with the class - a true-life drama, filled with stories of neglect, abuse, sickness, loss, damage and abandonment.  And despite everything Teresa went through, she triumphed, learned a life lesson in each crisis and became a better version of herself afterwards. Teresa's solution to it all - Love. Here are the 5 lessons she shared:

1.  Trust yourself.  Listen to your own instinct.
2.  Never, NEVER Give up.
3.  Today, you are the Best you can be.
4.  Surround yourself with good people.
5.  Let Love flow from you - share the love.

Wishing you all joy.lo.la...
Sherry

P.S.  After a major boating accident and suffering a severe concussion, Teresa, who could no longer work focused her attention on giving to others.  Her choice was not to be a victim, but to take control of her life and love others.  The result was a campaign called "Wrap Yourself in Kindness" benefiting orphaned girls in India.
